W.B.Thompson's paintings have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in galleries and museums throughout the United States and abroad, including the Trowbridge Gallery in Ojai, California, The Gallery on Greene in Key West, Florida, and the Whim House Museum in St. Croix, Virgin Islands. In addition, his work is in public and corporate collections, including those of His Excellency, Fernando Henrique Cardoso, President of the Republic of Brazil, the private collection of David and Susan Goode and Trinity University.
Mr. Thompson is the recipient of numerous awards and honors.
His book of paintings, "San Antonio in Color," published by his alma mater, The Trinity Press, has won numerous book awards including being named by critics as a "Best Book for 2004."
He was selected to represent the Virgin Islands in the prestigious Absolut Connections Art Project; his work entitled, "Spring Blossoms Fisher Park" was selected as best in show for the 65th Connecticut Artists' Exhibition at the Converse Gallery of the Slater Memorial Museum in Norwich, Connecticut. He also participated in the 2012-2013 Sculpture Key West Exhibition.
Bill was born in Hudson, New York in 1966. He received a B.A. From Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, and a J.D. from The Norman Adrian Wiggins School Of Law, Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina.
