All works are considered "mixed media works". They are paintings executed with a number of different materials. WBT’s paintings are typically painted with conte crayon, or pencil, acrylic paint, and oil pastel. His large scale works or works on wood panel or canvas are usually coated with a Soluvar finish to protect and seal the materials. WBT’s earlier works were primarily on paper, with watercolor and oil pastel as the mediums. More recent works by WBT are on canvas or board. In the works that follow the surface of the painting (canvas, door panel, wood, lino-tile, paper, linen) will be listed.

If you have any questions about the materials or surfaces of a particular painting please e-mail the artist and he will give you a detailed description of all the material used in the painting.
