- The January 2006 Issue of ARTnews features W.B. Thompson's "Luna Infinity Regatta" while a gallery's advertisement in the same issue shows his painting "When Morning Gilds the Room".
- A number of W.B. Thompson's paintings were featured in the Pistarkle Theatre (St. Thomas, Virgin Islands) December 2005 Production of "Its a Wonderful Life". Several set elements were also designed by Thompsons and auctioned to benefit local charities after the show's final curtain.

- Photographer Jay Stock asked to photograph Bill at work in his Connecticut studio as part of his continuing series of photographing artists at work. Jay had recently photographed artist Janet Fish in her studio. "Years ago, I was introduced to Janet Fish when she was invited to Trinity to speak as a distinguished guest lecturer. Coincidentally, critic Gerrit Henry was an early reviewer of Janet's artwork and was one of the first from New York's art establishment to take an interest in my work." (Fall, 2002)
- "Poet/Art Critic Gerrit Henry invited me to attend a series of poetry readings in New York City. I attended the reading at DACTYL foundation in September, also attended a poetry reading by Gerrit at the Stella Adler conservatory in the winter of 2002 and met with Gerrit in New York several times from July 2001 thru September 2002." Gerrit Henry passed away in May of 2003. (Fall, 2002)
